MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) – The storms are moving out and the severe weather threat has ended for the News 5 area. The Tornado Watch has been dropped. Rough surf and gusty winds continue this morning.
UPDATE (6 AM) – The wind and coastal flood alerts have been allowed to expire. Rough surf continues.
In addition to the high risk for rip currents, high surf continues. There is a HIGH SURF ADVISORY (4-6 foot waves) in place through 10 PM this evening. Offshore, a SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY will be in effect until 6 AM Thursday.
We will clear out as the surf calms down through the afternoon. Sunshine returns late today into Thursday. Our next rain chance comes Sunday.
