MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) – We are tracking three tropical disturbances in the Atlantic. Two have a high chance of developing
Invest 97L located south of Puerto Rico in the eastern Caribbean Sea. There’s a high chance this develops as it moves into the western Caribbean later this week. A tropical depression or tropical storm is likely to form by Friday. By this weekend this could get into the Gulf of Mexico, but where it will eventually go and how strong it will be is still unclear. Right now, it doesn’t pose an imminent threat to the US.
Invest 98L located just west of the Cabo Verde Islands has a high likelihood of becoming a tropical system. This will take a few days to reach the Lesser Antilles.
