UPDATE 11/14/21 10:00 AM: At last check Sunday morning, a relative of the two-year-old boy says the child’s condition has not changed from yesterday. The child found a gun Saturday morning in his home and accidentally shot himself in the head. He was taken to a hospital with serious injuries. A police spokesperson says his condition remains critical. As far as we know, no criminal charges have been filed at this time.

ORIGINAL STORY: MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) – Family members say a young child accidentally shot himself early Saturday morning.
It happened at a home on Alba Street before 8 am.
Family members say the child, approximately two years old, found a gun and injured himself. The child was taken to USA Children’s and Women’s hospital. The condition of the child is unknown. MFRD said the child was transported in critical condition.
Mobile Police are investigating.
