Mobile police investigating shooting at Burns Middle School

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) – The Mobile Police Department is investigating a shooting at Burns Middle School on Girby Road early Thursday morning.

Police responded to a shots fired call after 3:00 a.m. When officers arrived, MPD says they found a male juvenile had been shot in the abdomen. He was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Police say the shooting happened in the parking lot.

Mobile Police say they were also called to University Hospital to another male juvenile shot on the right side of his back. He had arrived by a personal car.

Police continue to investigate.
