PENSACOLA, Fla. (WKRG) — UPDATE (3:13 p.m. 11/30/20): Florida Highway Patrol has released more information on the overnight fatal accident on Citrus Street near Mobile Highway in Pensacola.
A 26-year-old Pensacola man was killed when the car he was riding in ran off the roadway and struck a tree.
Florida Highway Patrol says at about 12:30 a.m. a gray 2020 Chevrolet Malibu was traveling north on Citrus Street at the intersection of Anthony Street. The car ran off the roadway on the right shoulder, and the driver overcorrected when he steered to the left and struck a tree on the left shoulder of the roadway. The driver was transported to the hospital with injuries and the front passenger was pronounced dead on the scene.
At least one person was killed early Monday morning in a fatal crash on Citrus Street near Mobile Highway in Pensacola.
The crash was reported at 1:37 a.m., according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The road is clear with no delays.
