BREAKING: Drive-by shooting reported in Escambia County

PENSACOLA, Fla. (WKRG) — Deputies with the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a drive-by shooting. According to public information officer Deb Henley, officers responded to 4200 Anthony Street at 5:47 a.m. When they arrived, they found shell casings on the ground. Carl Tyree lives on the street, he says he and his pregnant fiance were sleeping when they woke up to gun shots. Tyree says his home and his neighbors home were hit with bullets.

“Well there were about five to six shots fired, ” Tyree said. “Some of them hit their car, some of them hit their trailer, some of them hit our car and our trailer.”

No one was injured according to deputies but Tyree says he and his fiance are wanting to move, because they do not feel the area is safe.

“Violence is never the answer, Tyree said. “You should never result to violence for anything.”
