UPDATE: Troopers ID bicyclist hit by car, killed early Wednesday morning

UPDATE (5 p.m. 5/26/21): The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency has released more details about a fatal crash involving a bicyclist and a vehicle early Wednesday morning.

At about 4:10 a.m., a vehicle and a bicycle were involved in a crash that claimed the life of an Irvington woman. Laura Elizabeth Bosarge, 49, was operating a bicycle when she was struck by a 1993 GMC Sonoma driven. Bosarge was fatally injured and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The crash happened on Argyle Road, about four miles south of Irvington.

Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.

ST ELMO, Ala. (WKRG) A bicyclist was killed early Wednesday morning after being hit by a car at the intersection of Argyle Rd. at Tahobi Ln. in south Mobile County.

The crash happened shortly before 5 a.m.
