2nd ever reported green sea turtle nest in Alabama begins hatching

ORANGE BEACH, Ala. (WKRG) – It was a rare occurrence Wednesday morning along the coast of Orange Beach. Hatchlings from a green sea turtle nest made their way into the Gulf of Mexico in the early morning hours, we’re told.

This is the second-ever reported green sea turtle nest in Alabama, according to Mike Reynolds with Share the Beach.
