UPDATE: Escaped Montgomery inmate recaptured

Update (Tuesday, February 19)

An escaped Alabama inmate has been recaptured. Alabama Department of Corrections says Fleurette Esmerelda Martin escaped from a work release facility in Montgomery on Monday, February 18 around 1 a.m.  Martin was recaptured without incident on Tuesday around 7:31 a.m. in Birmingham, Alabama.

According to the Alabama Department of Corrections, an inmate has escaped from a work release facility in Montgomery.

48-year-old Fleurette Martin walked away from her assigned post around 1 a.m. this morning. Martin was convicted on robbery charges. She was last seen wearing jeans, white tennis shoes, and a white hoodie. If you have any information, call 911.
