MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WKRG) — A teenager was shot at a high school in Montgomery on Tuesday.
Police said the 17-year-old student was shot in the arm while inside the gym at Robert E. Lee High School. The injury was not believed to be life-threatening.
A suspect was taken into custody and charges were pending, according to police. It was unclear if the suspected shooter was also a student.
The parents of the injured student have been notified. Other parents showed up at the school to pick up their children but were told to wait until a lockdown was lifted.
