Cruisin’ The Coast 2018

State / Regional

PASCAGOULA, Miss. (WKRG) — It’s dubbed America’s largest block party and is one of the largest events along the central Gulf Coast all year and it’s going on now. It’s Cruisin’ the Coast 2018.

This is the 22nd year of the famous classic car show. It’s not specific to just one site. There are stops from Bay St. Louis to Pascagoula/Moss Point.

During the course of the week, most that are registered in Cruisin’ go to every site and before the main weekend, you’ll see cars go from location to location. Last year over 8000 vehicles were registered and there’ll likely be even more this year by the end of the weekend! Along with the cars, there will be thousands of spectators alone!

Each location offers something a little different, from the scenery to the entertainment. In Pascagoula Thursday, there was a stage where multiple bands performed. The full schedule can be found here: Cruisin’ the Coast 2018 Schedule

Before things got underway it was noted that over 40 States are represented which includes Alaska and Rhode Island. There are also cars from Canada registered as well.

Cruisin’ the Coast isn’t just for those that have classic cars, it’s really something for the entire family. As mentioned before at each site there is some fun activity that anyone can enjoy, with the best part is that it’s free for spectators! This also includes parking that’s within parking distance of each site. With cities that have more than one location for cruisers like Pascagoula, there is also a shuttle service so you don’t have to worry about the traffic.
