(WKRG) Auburn University’s men’s basketball team will be honored by Alabama Governor Kay Ivey for their impressive run in the NCAA tournament.

The team will visit the governor’s mansion for a ceremony Wednesday afternoon.

The Tigers beat basketball blue bloods Kansas, North Carolina and Kentucky on their road to the Final Four. Auburn fell in the semi-final game to Virginia, a team that went on to win the championship.

The ceremony at the governor’s mansion begins at 4:30 p.m.
