MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WKRG) – Alabama’s Attorney General has cleared a Hoover police officer in the Thanksgiving night shooting death of a man inside a mall. According to Steve Marshall, the police officer “did not commit a crime under Alabama law and thus will not be criminally charged for his actions”, when Emantic “E.J.” Bradford Jr was shot and killed at the Riverchase Galleria Mall on November 22. According to a news release, AG Marshall says he understands the FBI “had reviewed the matter and found no evidence to initiate a case against the officer for civil rights violation(s).”

This morning, Bradford’s parents were shown the surveillance video of their son’s death. The family has asked for that video to be released for weeks.
