TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WKRG) – The South Alabama softball team made history Sunday night, beating #2 Alabama for the first time in program history.

Freshman Olivia Lackie threw a complete game shutout as the Jaguars beat the Crimson Tide 1-0 in Tuscaloosa.

Meredith Keel drove in the game’s only run, giving South Alabama the win.

Alabama was 19-0 entering Sunday’s game against South Alabama.
