SAN JOSE, Calif. (WIAT)– Throughout the week of the CFP National Championship game there have been some reports that Tua Tagovailoa has upwards of 400 family members in town to see him play Monday night.
Even Tua himself admitted that is a little much. “I do have a lot of family members,” Tagovailoa said. “If you could ask anyone in here if they can name 400 people, I don’t think anyone could even name 100 off the top of their head.”
The number may not be 400, but it’s still impressive. CBS 42 Sports spent some time with the family members Sunday night at a rental home in the area.
According to his mother, Diane, it was only her side of the family at the home, and “only some of them.”
Family members came from all over the country, and even the entire world to cheer on Tua. Each one has a unique, special message for the Alabama quarterback.
