Friday Night Football Fever Awards Handed Out

Stanford Bound Jack West is News 5 Player of the Year
Football players, coaches and parents gathered at the studios of WKRG Wednesday night for the stations annual Friday Night Football Fever Awards Banquet.
Saraland quarterback Jack West took home the 2017 Player of the Year Award. Jack will play college ball for Stanford next season. He threw 22 touchdown passes and just 6 interceptions his senior season. He was unable to attend the banquet, he’s playing in this week’s Alabama Mississippi All-Star Classic in Hattiesburg.
McGill-Toolen’s Earnest Hill is the 2017 Coach of the Year. He led the Yellow Jackets to a 13-1 record and 7A State Championship appearance in his first season as head coach.
Williamson’s Alexander Scott won the Play of the Year Award for his 85 yard pick 6 against Mobile Christian earlier this season.
