Iamunique had to sit out most of the season after transferring, but she’s back on the court and providing just the spark the Wildcats need.
“It’s like a fresh breath of air and energy. The girls have accepted her. They’ve been looking forward to it at practices and actually having her on the floor has been a big difference for us,” said St. Luke’s girls basketball coach Bruce Pears.
Iamunique prides herself on playing a full court game.
“My defense helps my offense, so when my defense is good my offense gets going,” said Iamunique.
“Most importantly she brings us another level of confidence as well,” said Coach Pears. “I always preach to the girls that you can’t be successful if you don’t have confidence. So having that extra intensity and confidence has propelled us even higher this year.”
This Wildcats season has been a fun ride for Iamunique and her teammates, and they aren’t done yet.
“It’s been fun,” said Iamunique. “We put a lot of work in to get where we’re going, and we’re going to state.”
