“Coryn is a special player,” said Daphne girls soccer coach Danny Santini. “She’s as committed as anybody I’ve ever had. I coached her in club a few years ago and now I have the privilege of having her at the high school level here.”
Coryn Litteken is only a fresham, but she’s the starting goalkeeper for the Trojans. And she already has seven shutouts this season.
“I get a lot of adrenalinebut I stay focused. I play my game and make sure I’m playing for my team,” said Litteken.
“She gets in her zone during the game and she’s good at communitcating with her back line. She has a really good back line. She’s saved a lot of shots and kept us in close games,” said coach Santini.
Thanks to Littiken, the Trojans have already wrapped up their region. When coach is putting his lineup together for all these big games, it’s a luxury knowing his goalkeeper is one of the best in the area.
“I’ve thought about that many times. It’s beyond words. Not only do I have know I have here, but she’s here for four more seasons,” said coach Santini.
