Walton County bookkeeper arrested, accused of stealing more than $100,000

Northwest Florida

WALTON COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) — A Walton County woman has turned herself in after allegedly stealing more than $100,000 from her employer.  According to the Walton County Sheriff’s Office, Kimberley Weaver was arrested on a warrant for grand theft. That warrant stemmed from a nearly year-long investigation. Weaver’s employer contacted the Walton County Sheriff’s Office last May, believing that Weaver was stealing money from the business.

The investigation found that Weaver was transferring money from her employer to her personal PayPal account. Weaver would then use those funds to make purchases on eBay or transfer them to her personal checking account. Weaver has been released on a $10,000 bond.
