UPDATE: Deputies identify Cantonment shooting victim

UPDATE Monday, September 3rd 11:02 a.m.

Escambia County Sheriff’s deputies have identified the man fatally shot Saturday morning on Chemstrand Road. 30-year-old Douglas Curtis Lloyd was shot and killed Saturday, September 1st in the 1600 block of Chemstrand Road in Cantonment. No arrests have been made at this time and the investigation is ongoing.

Escambia County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a fatal early morning shooting.

The shooting happened around 4:00 a.m. Saturday, September 1st in the 1600 block of Chemstrand Road in Cantonment, Florida. According to a spokesperson with the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office, an adult male was pronounced dead at the scene.  His identity has not yet been released.

Deputies say no arrests have been made at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
