Two guns stolen in a rash of car burglaries in Destin

Northwest Florida

DESTIN, Fla. (WKRG) — Okaloosa County deputies are investigating a rash of car burglaries in the Destin area.

Deputies say two guns were stolen from two different areas and the cars were unlocked. Authorities say the cars had keys inside the vehicles. The vehicle burglaries occurred on Dolphin Estate Court, Forest Street, Primrose Drive and Drifting Sand Trail.

Deputies say a car was stolen from Forest Street. Authorities say they do not want the stolen guns on the street and they are asking residents to lock their doors.

The sheriff’s office released a graphic showing every reported car burglary in the county since Jan 1.
