A 20-year-old shooting suspect is behind bars Sunday morning. Escambia County Sheriff’s Office believes the man in custody is connected to the Wedgewood Community Center shooting that happened on April 28th.
According to Escambia County Sheriff’s Office, 20-year-old Tyriek Javan Turner was arrested Sunday morning. Turner is being charged with Aggravated Assault, Aggravated Battery, Weapon Offense, Firing a Weapon, and Possession of a Weapon. He is being held on a $725,000 bond. Turners next court appearance is set for June 1, according to the Escambia County Jail View.
Escambia County Sheriff’s Office says Turner is the second of three suspects connected to the Wedgewood Community Center shooting.
The first suspect was identified as 20-year-old Martin Hendricks. Hendricks was arrested on May 2nd and charged with Marijuana Possession, Drug Equipment, Possession, Aggravated Assault, Aggravated Battery, Weapon Offense, and Firing a Weapon. Hendricks is being held on a $1,231,000 bond. His next court appearance is scheduled for May 24th.
The third suspect has not been identified. Escambia County Sheriff’s Office is seeking assistance in identifying the person.
