CRESTVIEW — The Crestview Police Department continues efforts to locate a 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne) soldier who failed to appear for work Monday morning at the group’s cantonment south of Crestview. Investigation suggests that Sgt. Greco A. Tucker may be in the Hialeah or Miami area. Police efforts to date to ﬁnd Sgt. Tucker include: • Obtained a warrant to search his apartment; no signs of foul play were discovered • Obtained a warrant to forensically search his personal electronics for leads, including his cellphone and computer • Obtained a subpoena to search his bank and ﬁnancial records, including credit card use • Interviewing the soldier’s family, friends and coworkers • Checking regional airports and airport parking lots • Checking area businesses, including gas stations and convenience stores • Listing Sgt. Tucker nationwide as a missing person. In addition, several organizations that assist in locating missing active duty or veteran military members have added information about Sgt. CRESTVIEW, Fla. (WKRG) – Crestview Police are looking into the disappearance of a U.S. Army Special Forces Sgt. who has been missing since Friday. Investigators say 23-year old Sgt. Greco Antoine Tucker Jr. did not report for duty on Monday morning. He’s a member of the U.S. Army 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne). When police checked out his home in Crestview, they found no signs anyone had forced their way inside and everything seemed as it should be. Sgt. Tucker’s 2014 four-door white Dodge Charger SE was not at the home.
“It is possible he left the area,” Crestview Police Commander Ray Harp said. “He hasn’t reported to work, or to family or friends. It is very out of character for him.”
According to the 7th Group, Sgt. Tucker is “an exemplary soldier”.
