PENSACOLA, Fla. (WKRG) — A man has been arrested for stabbing another man multiple times Tuesday night on G Street between De Soto Street and Gonzalez Street.
Mark Warren, 56, is charged with aggravated battery using a deadly weapon and cocaine possession.
The victim, Antawn Lewis, was taken to a hospital with serious injuries. Officers found him on the street and asked him who did it, Lewis pointed to the house at 1014 North G Street. On the front porch of that house was Warren sitting with blood on his shirt.
Warren told officers he was pulling up to the house and trying to park but Lewis was walking slowly blocking him from being able to park. Warren said he honked his horn at him making Lewis upset. When Warren got out, the two men got into a fight and then it escalated to the point they both pulled out knives, according to the arrest report.
Lewis threw his knife on the ground as the situation de-escalated and as Warren was putting his two knives away, Lewis punched him in the face, according to Warren. Warren said Lewis then picked up his knife off the ground and came toward him with it and Warren cut Lewis multiple times.
Police say Lewis is still in the hospital and they are waiting to interview him to get his side of the story.
Warren is in jail with a $30,000 bond.
