REPORT: Man threatens to bomb Escambia County courthouse

Northwest Florida

PENSACOLA, Fla. (WKRG) — A man was arrested Friday morning after allegedly saying in the foyer of the Escambia County courthouse, “I’m going to kill everyone and I am going to bomb this place.”

While waiting for the final plea trail in Room 405, an Assistant State Attorney heard the statement and told a nearby deputy, according to the arrest report.

Joshua Michael Hanson seemed agitated and was placed in handcuffs and escorted from the foyer where he began hyperventilating and crying hysterically, the report states.

He was booked into the Escambia County Jail with a $10,000 bond and released Friday afternoon. He’s scheduled to be in court April 26.
