Eglin Air Force Base, Fla. (WMBB) – Eglin Air Force Base could lose $65 million in funding for two projects if President Donald Trump moves forward with his border wall construction project.
The news was first reported by the Tampa Bay Times Monday. Times reporters wrote that they had access to a list of eligible projects that the president could pay for the border wall by taking more than $3.5 billion from military construction projects.
Florida could lose a total of $177 million including $35 million for an F-35A training center and $28 million for an F-35A student dormitory at Eglin Air Force Base in Okaloosa County.
