PENSACOLA, Fla. (WKRG) — Possible abuse victims are being asked to come forward after a local Catholic diocese received a complaint about inappropriate contact with a minor.

The complaint was filed at the Roman Catholic Diocese of Pensacola-Tallahassee against Father Edward Jones. The complaint was filed Monday and an investigation was done, according to the diocese. The diocese determined that the allegation was credible.

Father Edward Jones was removed as the pastor of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish in Crawfordsville and Sacred Heart Parish in Lanark.

The accusation is from 14 years ago when Jones was serving in Tallahassee, the diocese said.
