PENSACOLA, Fla. (WKRG) — A bomb threat forced shoppers and employees to evacuate a Pensacola Walmart Wednesday afternoon.
After almost two hours of investigating, police gave the all clear.
“It takes a lot of resources to do this. It’s a bomb threat and we take all of them seriously. But we let the management of the place such as Walmart decide if they’re going to evacuate or not. We don’t make that call. But we do assist them in making sure the building is safe before they go back in,” said Mike Wood with Pensacola Police.
Employees were allowed back inside the building around 5:30 p.m.
This is the second bomb threat made in the city in the past couple of weeks.
