PENSACOLA, Fla. (WKRG) — Pensacola police are investigating after about three dozen bullets went flying into a home on Warwick Avenue Friday night.

There are bullet holes in a car parked outside, in the front door and across the front of the home. One large window was shot out and is now boarded up.

Kennedy Young said they never knew there was gunfire going on outside while he and his family were inside.

“Later I found a little small fragment of a bullet in the refrigerator so we have to be careful what we eat because so much fragment of the bullet had disintegrated,” Young said.

Young said he and his 86-year-old parents were inside at the time but no one was hit. He was in the kitchen making some cheese toast.

“So I’m focused on my cheese and when I put the cheese on top, as soon as I turn this here…it goes pew pew pew,” he said.

Young thought it was an electrical issue with the stove but it was hit by a bullet.

“My sister, I think, she said they told them about 37 casings were found outside,” he said.

Police are now investigating to find out who’s responsible.
