PENSACOLA, Fla. (WKRG) — A Pensacola native will appear on the 38th season of Survivor.

Aurora McCreary is a divorce attorney by day, and now she’s one of the 18 Survivor contestants.

“I see drama every day, I don’t need to pick a side,” McCreary said. “My goal is to see which side is the most advantageous and which side I can move with easier.”

Her cousin and lifelong best friend Erin Fluegge says she’s in it to win it! She says her cousin is strong and witty and is perfect for the game of Survivor.

“I think she can totally make friends with people and show her strong side,” Fluegge said. “I think she could make friends with them and totally sneak behind their back and get them voted off.”

McCreary says she’s not scared of the physical challenges. She says growing up in Pensacola prepared her for this game.

“It’s a collection of all different types of people,” McCreary said. “So coming with the diversity I’ve met there, it definitely prepares me for Survivor.”

“Oh my god if she wins that’s what a million dollars?” Fleugge said. “That is crazy bananas and that would be big for Pensacola right there.”

Fluegge says the family will host watch parties every week.
