Pensacola man walking on Lillian Highway seriously injured by kayak

A man walking along Lillian Highway was seriously hurt after being hit by a falling kayak.  According to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol, 28-year-old Marshall Fundaburk was walking on the shoulder of Lillian Highway before 10 pm Saturday night.  According to the report:

 A kayak fell from a unidentified vehicle that traveling east on Lillian Highway. The kayak struck the paved shoulder and then made contact with Mr. Fundaburk causing serious injuries.  The vehicle did not stop and continued traveling east on Lillian Highway.

The report says the victim was taken to Baptist Hospital with critical injuries.  No vehicle description was mentioned in the report.
