PENSACOLA, Fla. (WKRG) — A man has been arrested in Pensacola for battery by strangulation and child abuse.

Gregory Fountain, 50, arrived home late Monday night and started arguing with the juvenile victim about a disturbance that happened the day before, according to the report.

Fountain is accused of hitting the victim in the face with his fist several times, pushing the victim against the wall then putting the victim in a choke hold.

Officers described Fountain on the scene as “highly intoxicated.” Fountain’s knuckles on his right hand were swollen and bleeding, the report states.

The victim, whose age is unknown, was treated for injuries at Sacred Heart Hospital.

Fountain is in the Escambia County Jail with no bond. The Florida Department of Children and Families is investigating as well.
