PENSACOLA, Fla. (WKRG) — The mother of a two-year-old girl allegedly abused by the woman’s boyfriend is facing child neglect charges.

Maranda Lyn Mixson, 28, was arrested April 5th and released the 7th on a $5,000 bond.

The arrest came after Mixson took her daughter to Sacred Heart Hospital because she had several marks on her body that Mixson said she thought was ringworm. She claims now that she had no idea about the alleged abuse going on.

Escambia County Sheriff’s investigators discovered the child had been severely abused and Mixson’s boyfriend Andrew Bennett Ross Celaius was charged with aggravated child abuse.

Officials say they found video of Ross Celaius burning the child’s skin, shooting her with an airsoft gun and throwing bottles at her while he was wearing a werewolf mask.
