NICEVILLE, Fla. (WKRG) — A Niceville man has been indicted by a Grand Jury on the charge of first-degree premeditated murder and/or first-degree felony murder, according to the state attorney’s office.
Frederick Franken is charged with stabbing his three-year-old son to death on March 15.
The charge carries a maximum penalty of the death penalty or life in prison. The state attorney’s office will complete a review of the facts and circumstances within 30 days to make a decision on seeking the death penalty.
Assistant State Attorneys Clifton Drake and Jack Schlecter will prosecute the case.
