Fort Walton Beach Man Killed in Wreck

Fort Walton Beach, Fla. – A Fort Walton Beach man was killed in a wreck Thursday morning. 

At about 4:45 a.m., Fort Walton Beach Police Officers responded to a single-vehicle crash on Miracle Strip Parkway in front of city hall between St. Mary Ave. and Cedar Ave.

Officers found a 2002 White Cadillac Escalade on its side on the north side of the highway with one occupant. The driver, Marc Jordan, 52, was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead the scene, officers wrote. The passenger, Stephanie Stoudmire, 33, appeared to have no injuries. Stoudmire was transported to Fort Walton Beach Medical Center for evaluation and was later released.

Both Stoudmire and Jordan are Fort Walton Beach residents. 
“The initial investigation, including witness testimony, indicates that the vehicle was headed westbound and left the roadway at a high rate of speed, struck the curb and rolled multiple times before coming to a stop on the passenger side,” officers wrote. 

The crash remains under investigation.
