HOLT, Fla. (WKRG) — More than two months after a woman was injured in a hit and run in Okaloosa County, the driver who allegedly left the scene is now facing charges.

31-year-old Terry Langford of Baker is charged with felony hit and run and reckless driving.

Witnesses told investigators they saw Langford speeding down Highway 90 after leaving a bar in Holt at around 3:30 a.m. on New Year’s Day.

A woman was rear-ended and suffered significant injuries, according to the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies later found Langford’s damaged car at his home. He was arrested late Sunday night.

Langford claims the damage to his car was caused when his girlfriend hit a deer, the sheriff’s office said.
