MILTON, Fla. (WKRG) — And the winning names are…Copper and Zinc!
More than 2,000 people submitted names for Santa Rosa County’s new bloodhound deputies, and on Friday the winning submissions were selected.
The Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office made the announcement on Facebook.
“GREAT JOB everyone. It was a tough decision! There were so many great names to pick from. Thank you for participating. We had a great time,” the sheriff’s office wrote.
The bloodhounds will be used exclusively as tracking dogs for the department.
