“A Boatload of Help” For Our Friends To The East

DESTIN, Fla. (WKRG) — Commissioner Kelly Windes announced Sunday that on Thursday, October 18th the Destin Fisherman’s Co-op in cooperation with The Fleet Marina and the Destin Charter Boat Association will be sending donated supplies to those affected by Hurricane Michael in Gulf County.

The Sunrise, a 65-foot workboat, will depart Destin Harbor on Thursday morning with donations from Okaloosa County residents and businesses. Donations can be dropped off during normal business hours at 210 Harbor Blvd, behind Brotulas on Tuesday. October 16th and Wednesday, October 17th.

The Destin Fisherman’s Co-op is asking for donations of the following items:
Water
Clothing
Pet Food
Canned Goods
Diapers and baby wipes
