PENSACOLA, Fla. (WKRG) — People walked the red carpet Friday for the Annual Northwest Florida Heart Ball.
The ball raises a lot of awareness and money for healthy hearts right here on the Gulf Coast. WKRG News 5 is proud to be the media sponsor, partnering with the American Heart Association.
Cardiovascular disease affects so many people, in fact, 2,300 people die every day. It is something we are eager to change and a topic that hits home for the event chair Michael Goodman.
“Personally my father and two of my brothers actually suffer from heart problems so when I was approached about doing this it became you know very very quickly something that I really wanted to get involved with”,” said Goodman.
This years event sold out but it’s not too early to plan for next year’s ball here in Pensacola. The day has been set for March 28, 2020.
