On Newsfeed Now for April 25, we began the show with deadly storms in Louisana. Severe weather pounded parts of the south overnight that left at least two dead. Power is out across the City of Ruston, Louisiana and there are multiple roads blocked near interstate 20 due to debris as well as power lines down. Ried Lybarger provided an update on storm damage.

AT XXX The number of measles cases in the US is now at the highest number on record since the disease was declared eliminated nationwide in 2000. Analysis of data from state and local health departments reveal 681 cases of measles have been reported in 22 states this year. The Arkansas Department of Health’s Chief Medical Officer Dr. Gary Wheeler talked about how we are seeing a spread of the disease and where most of the cases are appearing. 

AT XXX It’s time to get the party–and drafting– started! The NFL Draft in Nashville is just hours away but the downtown area is already buzzing with excitement. From the stage to the vendors to the big names in town, Emily Proud joined us with more. 

AT XXX We wrap up with some more sports news, track to be precise. There are a couple of athletes in Louisana that are putting aside autism to run as fast as they can. Chris Demirdjian was with us to share more about the story.
