FAIRHOPE, Ala. (WKRG) — A 2-year-old in Fairhope became quite the overnight sensation after getting stuck in a toy machine at a restaurant.

The last time we saw little Ezra Ingersoll he was almost in the clutches of “the claw”, that toy machine that you put a quarter in and grab a toy, only this time. “My daughter ran up to me and said Ezra’s in the game,” says Ezra’s Mom Kelsey Ingersoll.  “I thought he must have climbed on top of one.”

But that wasn’t it.  He was inside the game.  “The door only opens in and there is no way to get out unless you are really tiny,” she says.

Ezra is none the worse for wear but we’re still not too sure about Mom.  “I count them every few minutes just to make sure they are all there,” said the mother of four.  “I’m overprotective in that sense so it’s weird this even happened.”

First responders helped spring Ezra from his self imposed trap. He actually got a toy out of the machine and in the last 24 hours, “A lot of phone calls, lots of messages from people I’ve never spoken to before. It’s been crazy.”

She calls him her little adventurer. He just turned two last month so the real adventure may have just started.  “Terrible twos just began. I’m pretty sure the terrible two just began.”
