Woman injured by driver chased by police following Grand Hall shooting

News

It was a scary couple of moments for a woman heading home after a shopping trip.  Brooke Bechtol says a vehicle fleeing police after the shooting at the Grand Hall slammed into her car.

“I was heading home from the Wal-Mart, I just see in the distance police lights through the trees and the guy they were pursuing hit me in oncoming traffic,”  said Bechtol.  She says she was released from the hospital early this morning.

“Just banged up and sore just happy to be okay, I’ll deal with some bruises,” she said. “It was very scary, the doctor said just a few inches and it would have killed you on impact but because I swerved he just got the front end and the side of the vehicle very frightening to say the least.”

Bechtol says her newly purchased Nissan Pathfinder was heavily damaged in the crash.
