A state inmate who escaped from the Loxley Work Release Center early Sunday morning is back in custody.
Officials with the Alabama Department of Corrections are looking for an escaped inmate. 29-year-old John Walker Johnson Jr. was reported missing at about 2:30 this morning from the Loxley work release center.
The news release describes him as a black male, six feet, one inch tall. He was reportedly serving a 20 year sentence for robbery out of Montgomery County. Anyone with information on where he might be is asked to contact authorites.
