Pensacola Police say the suspicious item was a ball bearing tester. There was a language barrier with the owner of the item, according to police.

Pensacola Police have given the all clear at the airport following a suspicious cylindrical item that was found via x-ray in a checked in bag around 6:30 a.m. Tuesday morning.
According to a spokesman with the Pensacola Police Department, the suspicious item, cylindrical in shape, was found via x-ray inside a piece of checked in luggage around 6:30 this morning.
Police say the terminal has not been evacuated because the item is well away from people; however, the bomb squad is enroute and if they feel the item is something of concern an evacuation will take place.
Flights are stopped because the airport is unable to check luggage.
