Reward increased to $1,000 for St. Bernard that vanished

TREASURE ISLAND, Fla. (WFLA) – - A Treasure Island man is offering a $1,000 reward to the person who finds his family's beloved 200 lb. St. Bernard.
“Logan” vanished on Monday, July 9.

His owner, Will O’Shea, said Logan was last seen on Monday evening.

O’Shea and his family left Logan at home when they went to the store that night. “When we returned about 45 minutes later, Logan did not greet us, but we assumed he was sleeping in another room,” O’Shea told WFLA.com.

Friends arrived at the O’Shea family’s home about ten minutes later and wanted to say “Hi” to Logan, but he was nowhere to be found.

“We immediately started searching our backyard and neighborhood. We called the police and had them come out. They also helped search, but no luck,” said O’Shea.

The family searched for Logan until midnight, then started searching again on Tuesday at 4:30 a.m.

The family has also passed out flyers in their neighborhood with the hope that someone may have seen their huge 7-year-old dog.

The family believes one of the possible explanations for Logan’s mysterious disappearance is he may have been stolen. “We know he was in the house before we left for the store,” said O’Shea.

O’Shea originally offered a $500 reward for Logan’s safe return. Then, on Wednesday morning, the reward was increased to $1,000 when someone offered to match the $500.

The family has had Logan since he was a puppy. O’Shea said he is very friendly and easily approachable.

If someone sees Logan they should call the Treasure Island Police Department at (727) 547-4595 or contact Will O’Shea at (727) 452-3424.
