Here is a list of early dismissals due to the winter weather here on the Gulf Coast this week:
Mobile County City Schools will be closed Wednesday, Jan 17th. After school activities, besides after school care, will be canceled. Schools will reopen on Thursday on the regular schedule with uniform dress.
Escambia County Schools (Ala.) will be closed Wednesday, Jan 17th.
Escambia County Schools (Florida) will be closed Wednesday, Jan 17th.
Baldwin County Public Schools will be closed Wednesday, Jan. 17th.
Okaloosa County Public Schools All after school activities for today (1/16) are cancelled with the exception of tutoring and after school day care. We are expecting icy road conditions and dangerously low wind chill temperatures tonight and tomorrow. School and all activities are cancelled tomorrow (1/17).
All Archdiocesan schools will be closed tomorrow (Wednesday the 17th) due to predicted weather conditions.
Bayside Academy will be closed on Wednesday, Jan 17th. After school programs, with the exception of extended care, will be canceled today, Tues. Jan. 16th.
Bishop State has canceled classes after 5 pm on Tuesday and all classes on Wednesday, Jan. 17
Chickasaw City Schools will be canceled Wednesday, Jan. 17th.
Clarke County Public schools will be canceled on Wednesday, Jan. 17th and Thursday, Jan. 18th.
Conecuh County Schools have announced they will dismiss schools early Tuesday, January 16, at 1 pm due to the severe cold weather. Conecuh County Schools are closed tomorrow, 1-17-18, due to the severe cold weather.
Coastal Alabama Community College (all locations) has canceled all night classes for Tuesday and all classes for Wednesday, 17th.
George County, MS schools will dismiss early at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday and will be canceled Wednesday Jan. 17.
Greene County, MS schools will dismiss early at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday and will be closed Wednesday Jan. 17.
Monroe County Public Schools will dismiss at 2 pm on Tuesday, January 16th, due to incoming weather. School has been canceled on Wednesday, Jan. 17th.
Santa Rosa District Schools will be closed Wednesday, January 17th.
Saraland City Schools will be closed on Wednesday, Jan. 17.
Satsuma City Schools will be closed on Wednesday, Jan. 17. After school activities for Tuesday have been canceled.
Shelton Academy will be closed on Wednesday, Jan.17
St. Paul’s Episcopal School will be canceled tomorrow, (Jan. 17).
Spring Hill College has canceled all classes for today, Wednesday, January 17
Coastal Alabama Community College has canceled classes for tonight, January 16. The College will be closed tomorrow, January 17.
Washington County Schools will dismiss at 1 pm Tuesday, January 16th. School is canceled for Wednesday, Jan. 17th.
Lucedale, MS – Antioch Christian Academy in will be closed tomorrow, January 17
UMS Preparatory School has canceled classes for Wednesday, Jan. 17
Government Street Christian Schools after-school programs on Tuesday have been canceled. Classes and after-school programs for Wed. Jan. 17 are also closed.
Diocese of Pensacola Schools have canceled classes for Wednesday, Jan. 17
Temple Christian Academy in Atmore, AL will be closed Wednesday, Jan. 17th.
Cottage Hill Christian Academy will be closed Wednesday, Jan. 17th.
University of Mobile All evening classes on Tuesday have either been canceled or moved online. A decision on class schedules for Wednesday will be made no later than 6am Wednesday.
Faith Academy will be closed Wednesday, Jan. 17th. Tuesday after school activities have been canceled.
Prichard Prep will be closed Wednesday, Jan.17th.
Pensacola Christian Academy will be closed Wednesday, Jan. 17th.
Northwest Florida State College will be closed Wednesday, Jan 17th.
Shelton Academy will be closed Wednesday.
Spring Hill College is canceling all classes today, Tuesday, January 16, that are regularly scheduled to begin on or after 5:30 p.m. Spring Hill College has canceled 8:15 and 9:15 a.m. classes for tomorrow, Wednesday, January 17 and will resume classes at 10:15 a.m. All non-essential personnel should report for work at 10:00 a.m.
South Baldwin Christian Academy (SBCA) will close tomorrow, January 17th
Pensacola State College campuses and centers will close at 5:30 p.m. today and remain closed all day Wednesday, Jan. 17. All classes and other activities are cancelled during that time.
University of South Alabama will close at 5 p.m. today, Tuesday, January 16. All classes, activities and facilities on the main campus and all Baldwin County campuses that begin after 5 p.m. today are canceled. The Marx Library, Student Center and Student Recreation Center will be closed. All non-essential University offices also will be closed today at 5 p.m. The University will resume the normal schedule of classes, activities and facilities beginning at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, January 17. All classes scheduled after 5 p.m. on Wednesday, January 17, will be held as scheduled.
University of Mobile will close at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 16, and reopen at 7:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 18. A make-up day will be held Friday, January 26. All classes cancelled Tuesday should meet on Friday, January 26, at their corresponding times and places. Classes scheduled for Tuesday night will be moved online.

Early Learning Coalition of Santa Rosa County announces the closure of their Gulf Breeze and Milton office locations
NAS Pensacola will be closed to all visitors and non-essential personnel at 9 p.m. today, Jan. 16th. All facilities on board the base, including Child Development Center, Youth Center, and tourist attractions, e.g., National Naval Aviation Museum, Lighthouse, Ft Barrancas, etc. will be closed. Pending significant changes in weather forecast, the base and all facilities will reopen and resume normal operations on Thursday, Jan. 18th.
ALL Okaloosa County Tax Collector Offices will be closed on Wednesday, January 17

The City of Orange Beach opened a warming station at the Orange Beach Recreation Center, 4849 Wilson Blvd., beginning at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2018. Anyone who needs a warm place to stay is asked to bring their own blankets, pillows, food, water and medications for the night.
