Publix Construction Forces Road Closures on Florida Street in Mobile

News

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) – The City of Mobile announced this week that the construction of the new Midtown Publix will force crews to close two portions of Florida Street.

Beginning Friday, the section of Florida Street between Old Shell Road and Spring Hill Avenue will be closed until Saturday, December 2nd.

Beginning on Tuesday, December 5th, Florida will be closed between Old Shell Road and Dauphin Street until Friday, December 8th.

Officials with traffic engineering are encouraging drivers to seek alternate routes to avoid any delays.

The closures are associated with the construction of the new grocery store, which is nearing completion and continuing to add new tenants.
