The Mobile County Commission will hold a public involvement meeting tonight on a proposed road project in west Mobile.

The meeting will discuss the addition of new lanes to Zeigler Boulevard from Tanner Williams Road to Schillinger Road.

The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday night (May 1) from 5 to 7 p.m. at Faith Academy School on 8701 Zeigler Blvd in Mobile. Along with the Mobile County Commission, there will also be representatives from the Mobile County Engineering Department and design consultants from McCrory and Williams, Inc.

The meeting will be in an open house style where the public can come in and view the proposed information and ask questions about the project.

In addition, the city of Mobile has also begun plans to widen Zeigler Blvd from Forest Hill Drive near Langan Park all the way to Schillinger Road. The meeting Tuesday will not discuss this portion of the project.
