The woman arrested after a shooting in Mobile on Thursday was a witness to the shooting.
Police responded to the 1800 block of St. Charles Avenue at around 10:45 a.m. Officers found a man sitting on a front porch with a gunshot wound to his leg.
While interviewing a witness, officers said they found drugs on the woman. Police arrested that witness, identified as 42-year-old Renee Hardy, and charged her with possession of a controlled substance.
Police said the shooting victim was incoherent when officers spoke with him and provided no information on a possible suspect.
