PRICHARD, Ala. (WKRG) — Police released two images on Tuesday of the person of interest they’re looking for in connection with a deadly shooting over the weekend.
Police have identified 20-year-old Christopher Johnson as a person of interest in the death of 21-year-old Dortez Major Sr., who was shot and killed near Thomas and Magee Streets in Prichard on Sunday.
Major’s 4-year-old son, Dortez Major Jr., was shot twice in the leg and is now recovering.
News 5 spoke with the boy’s mother on Monday. Raven Crandle said her son would need to use a wheelchair for several months.
The father and son were in a vehicle with the father’s girlfriend and another child when the shooting took place. The girlfriend was wounded. The other child was unharmed.
Prichard Police said the shooting stemmed from some sort of incident last Friday at a night club in Mobile.
